Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 26, 2026
Welcome to Homewe ("we," "us," or "the App"). We highly value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Homewe mobile application.
By accessing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information necessary to provide and improve our services.
A. Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your phone number (for OTP verification via SMS) or email address.
- Profile Information: Your chosen nickname, avatar, and family role (e.g., Husband, Wife, Creator).
- User-Generated Content: Data you actively input into the app, including chores, supply lists, wishlists, praise cards, and text/images uploaded to the "Safety Vault" (e.g., appliance warranties, asset map clues). Photo uploads are voluntary for internal family rituals, and users may choose to skip them. Homewe never mandates the upload of images containing sensitive personal biometric identification or private parts.
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Usage Data: General interactions within the app (e.g., features used, time spent) to help us improve the user experience.
- Device Information: Basic device information (e.g., device model, OS version) necessary for troubleshooting and push notifications.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account and your "Family Space".
- To sync data across your devices and share it strictly with invited members within your Family Space.
- To process in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- To send you push notifications regarding family activities (e.g., chore completed, supplies running low).
- To execute our special features, such as the "30-Day MIA Observation Period" mechanism in the Asset Map (if you are inactive for 30 consecutive days, your private asset clues will automatically be shared with your family members).
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We only share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Your Family Members: Data created within your Family Space (chores, shared vault items) is visible to users who join your family using your exclusive invitation code. "Asset Map" data is private to you by default unless the 30-day MIA mechanism is triggered.
- With Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate our app:
- Supabase: For secure database hosting, user authentication, and image storage.
- RevenueCat: For securely processing in-app subscriptions. We do not directly process or store your credit card information.
- For Legal Reasons: If required by law, subpoena, or other legal processes.
4. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data. Your data is securely stored on Supabase servers. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Important Note Regarding the "Safety Vault": We explicitly advise users NOT to store plaintext passwords or highly sensitive financial credentials within the App. The vault is designed for clues, maps, and warranty records.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services.
Your Right to Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the app at any time by navigating to Profile -> Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Delete Account. Once you submit a deletion request, your data will immediately become invisible/sealed in the real-time production database. Subject to the backup mechanisms of our cloud service infrastructure, this data will be completely physically overwritten from all disaster recovery and historical logs within a maximum of 30 working days.
6. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain European jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that we have collected personal data from a child, we will take steps to delete that information.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy, and if the changes are material, we will inform you via an in-app notice.
